Deciding When to Move On

Filed under: Working at Home — by workingfromhomeinnc @ 9:50 am

When is it time to move on with a business?

Ever wonder when it is time to move on from a business enterprise that you have started? Maybe it is just not the right fit for you, maybe you have decided you don’t like working your own business, or maybe you are just not able to commit the time and effort to it.

As you know, I have two businesses at the moment which has not been a conflict nor do I see it becoming one. The problem for me comes with deciding if Vitamark is really for me, don’t get me wrong I love my up-line and team they are great people with incredible dreams and successes. The problem for me starts with the product. I don’t like the “flagship product” not that is a bad product it just doesn’t do anything for me.  The implied motto is we do not sell products we sell opportunity which for some is fine, but I need to love the products to be able to sell someone on the idea that this company will work for them. Again, the hard part is I really like the company but after a month and a week, I still have no one in my down-line and I have worked a minimum of 12 hours a week on the phone. I am tired and burned out on calling and calling and calling without any response. Maybe I need to change my approach, try a different line if marketing, something. All I know is that something needs to change and soon!

My other company is Avon and though I am not making a killing at it, I do make some extra cash from my Avon sales. I am slowly building this business with just a moderate amount of effort. More one on one and face to face and that works well for me.

I am still investigating another company and have joined it to try the products, there are some incredible success stories from their weight-loss plan and I need to lose some weight so I am going to start there and see what happens. Feel free to check it out, www.7in9.isagenix.com they have been featured on ABC and FOX news, you can watch the news clips on the website. Sounds promising…

Business is Booming!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by workingfromhomeinnc @ 7:12 am

Well this has been an interesting weekend so far. I started in my Avon business almost two weeks ago and have already began leadership with my first recruit joining my team! Now to get 3 more so I can quify for fast start. Orders are slowly coming in, but they are not due until Thursday of this week so I imagine I will get some more this week. Still working the power of three, so it's bound to pay off. Plus I was recognized in my team's newsletter this week and will be receiving free product after my new recruit gets going, and she is excited to start so that should be easy.

I have also started to investigate another company that I had looked at originally and am having yet another phone meeting with them on Monday, this will be the fourth time I have talked to them. So who knows.

I am struggling with my other company though they have an awesome supprt and upline I just am not in love with the products and for me the products are important.

I will keep you posted.

The Constant Browser

I am one of those people who is always looking for the next “big thing” in home-based business opportunities. I am addicted to pouring over information from various companies to see what else is out there. Of course don’t get me wrong I am not someone who jumps from company to company, I just love looking.

As you know currently I am involved with two companies, which are quite different in nature and I approach the marketing of them very differently as well. Vitamark I do exclusively through phone contacts and leads;
Avon is very person to person. I think this is why I able to keep up with both of them. But I hope to become a leader in
Avon and that will then require a slightly different approach, but for the time being two companies works for me.

But even though I am happy with my current businesses I still find myself perusing the different websites and business opportunities all the time. So am I really just browsing or am I really looking for a better fit. Who knows.

For now I am happy to look, who knows I may find the perfect opportunity along the way.

Power of Three Works!

Filed under: Working at Home — by workingfromhomeinnc @ 3:37 pm

Ok, this morning I talked about how my goal each day for my Avon business is to talk to three people each day in effort to gain customers.

Yesterday – talked to 3 – got one new order

Today – talked to 3 – got one new order!

That’s two new customers in two days using the power of three!

To Succeed – Set Goals!

Filed under: Working at Home — by workingfromhomeinnc @ 11:53 am

To succeed at anything in life you must set goals. Why? Well for one as a species humans tend to long for a sense of accomplishment. So to satisfy this need we need to set a goal to have something to “mark off the list” at the end of the day, week, month, year, whatever, the point is in order to accomplish something you must know what the thing you are trying to accomplish is.

For my
Avon business I set a goal this morning that I must mention that I sell
Avon to at least 3 people, this is to add new customers to my customer base. I set this goal every morning.

Yesterday I succeeded and managed to generate one new order.

Today I have already spoken to two people and am on the lookout for opportunity number 3.

For my daily life I set goals, simple ones generally but goals none the less, might be get the laundry done, find an hour to play with my son, etc.

I set longer term goals as well. Currently it is “lose 20 pounds” I work on this goal everyday longing for the day that I can cross it off the list.

So in trying to start your own business remember to set goals, short term and long term, so you can start crossing them off the list to success!

My long-term goal is two six moth vacations a year!

Hello world!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by workingfromhomeinnc @ 5:18 pm

Like many of you I dream of giving up the grind of working 40+ hours a week for someone else and having my own business. For me I want to have a successful home business that can support my family and allow me more time for my son and my hobby – showing horses.

So I have spent months looking over hundreds of offers in everything form direct sales (think
Avon, Pampered Chef, etc), Network Marketing (also called Multi-level marketing), Wholesale opportunities, etc.

I have learned a lot, and have started to trial home based business. Follow me on my adventures of becoming financially independent.

Network or MLM Marketing

Filed under: Working at Home — by workingfromhomeinnc @ 12:54 pm

Does it work? Or is it a scam.

Well the answer is not quite so simple. There are lots of legitimate network marketing companies out there to choose from, there are equally as many scams related to network marketing.

The reality is that lots of people are making a good living with network marketing, but it really depends on who you are. They all will tell you that you are not “selling” anything, but really you are selling opportunity, to do the same thing.

You make money the more people that you have in your downlink. So if you can sign up 10, 20, 50, 300 people to do the same thing you do, you will make money.

But be careful there are scams out there, watch out for any company that pays more to the person at the top then to those beneath them.

Examples of some network marketing companies out there are:

www.watkins.com

www.ameriplan.com

www.vitamark.com

This is just a sample of the hundreds of companies, all these I know are legitimate companies.
